Rams receiver Danny Amendola is a lucky man. Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer tweeted that Amendola’s clavicle injury last Thursday could have killed him.
In a rare injury, Amendola’s collarbone dislocated inward. If the collarbone had gone too far inward, it could have compromised his windpipe and aorta, which would have been life-threatening.
Glazer reported that the Rams were unsure of how to treat Amendola’s injury and called other teams to try to come up with a treatment plan.
The team expects Amendola to miss up to two months.
